Spravato Treatment

Spravato (esketamine) is the only nasal spray FDA approved for treatment-resistant depression or “TRD”. A patient is considered to have TRD when they have tried two or more antidepressants in the past and are still struggling with depressive symptoms. It is covered by most insurance providers and administered under the supervision of a Spravato-certified facility and physician. Spravato is administered twice per week for the first month and usually 1-2 treatments per week afterwards until stable. Spravato works faster and acts on different brain receptors than traditional antidepressants.
